New York City

We travel to New York at least once a year, several times if I can convince Dale we need another NYC fix.   These are some of the restaurants that we’ve had good luck with.  Though there are some dives…New York  has some of the best restaurants around.

Becco
Owned by Lidia of “Lidia’s Italy”, this restaurant is a great place to get to know Italian food in a great neighborhood.

Rocco’s Pastry Shop
We went to this place on a food tour in the summer of 2009.  Had to go back in December when we visited again.  This may be a new go-to place every time we visit.

Rosa Mexicano
This Mexican restaurant is one of the first places we went many years ago.  Great tableside guacamole and good margaritas.  There are several locations in NYC and we even found one in Washington DC!

Sangria 46
Tapas restaurant.  Great food and order at least a half carafe of sangria.  It’s wonderful!
338 West 46th Street

West Side Cafe
Our go to place for dessert later in the evening…usually after a show.  Another place that we stopped at the first year we visited NYC.
