Recipe: Miso-Glazed Salmon

This is definitely another quick cooking weeknight meal.  My local grocery store didn’t have miso paste.  Be sure not to buy miso soup mixes as the soup is a completely different animal.  We’re just looking for the paste here…which is only one part of a miso soup.  I found a package at Whole Foods.

Recipe: Warm Pasta Salad with Shrimp

Great weeknight meal.  The dish would be just as good without one of the proteins.  The combination of the beans and shrimp are excellent…but over the top for those of you cost conscious consumers.  If you like, this dish is easily morphed into other flavor combinations.  I think some fresh oregano or fresh rosemary

Recipe: Vegetable Korma

This dish was definitely simple to make.  However, the flavors packed into this dish are far from simple.  The Indian inspired flavors pack a punch.  If you don’t like edamame, try tofu…or even some chicken strips.

Recipe: Tuna and White Bean Salad

Try this salad for a fast weeknight meal.  The biggest thing you’ll do here in terms of cooking is drop some butter in the microwave for a few seconds.  The flavors are great.  Be sure to get good quality tuna packed in oil.  Drain it well and you’ll be fine.  If you’re still nervous,

Recipe: Shrimp and Pea Risotto

This recipe comes from Gourmet magazine.  I really do miss this magazine.  Though I subscribe to Food & Wine, Bon Appetit and Cooking Light, Gourmet remains my all-time favorite.  I’m currently reminiscing the old Gourmet by reading Ruth Reichl’s Garlic and Sapphires.  With such a legacy of personalities like Ruth and Sara Moulton, it
