As with any new year, I try to think of ways to eat better and not eat out as much. With the food hangover I always start the year out with, it’s easy to get going on a plan of attack for delicious, homemade meals. The challenge, as with most resolutions and goals, will be to maintain the plan throughout the year.
I have already started plans this year. I’m not as ambitious as I was in 2010. That year, I had the first 45 days planned out before the year began. We didn’t eat out one night in January and kept to our plan almost through the month of February as well. The only thing to help keep our goals in line is to have a second goal. This year, we’re looking at remodeling our kitchen. From my standpoint, I’m looking for a gut and rebuild. We’ll see how that goes and see what that will cost. The financial aspect of eating in will defintely help with our goals. Wish us luck!
