Inspirational meals

Have you ever had a meal that made you want to jump for joy, go to the country the dish originated in, or cook some more?  I have to admit, I’m in a bit of a rut.  The cooking shows currently running aren’t providing anything new.  Cooking magazines aren’t offering much more.  Have I uncovered everything?  I can’t say I’ve made everything out there.  There are some food items that I don’t think I’m going to try:  sweet breads, liver, pig cheeks.  Before I get too far into this rut, I need to come up with a cooking challenge.  One challenge could be cooking meals at home for a month.   Another could be cooking a recipe out of each cookbook and magazine until I’ve gone through everything without going back to a cookbook/magazine twice.  What do you think I should do?  I want to stay clear of boxed meals…help!!!
