Pacing ourselves for Thanksgiving

So…It’s Thanksgiving week.  What should we eat?  Given the fact that we haven’t spent much time on the treadmill lately, I’m of the opinion that I shouldn’t eat anything!!!  I love getting together with family and really love to eat good food.  However, I realize that I probably should eat some food prior to Thursday!!!

  • Sunday
    • Shrimp in Coconut Milk
  • Monday
    • Scrambled Eggs and Fried Potatoes (I made an oops and didn’t bother to read what will now be Tuesday’s dinner!!)
  • Tuesday
    • Char Siu & Rice
  • Wednesday
    • Leftovers…

I can’t wait for Thursday!  I’ll be making my grandmother’s sweet potatoes.   Cook down sweet potatoes (chunks), pour on some butter, maple syrup, brown sugar, and top with marshmallows…cooking down until they’re dark brown candy.  Not exactly haute cuisine…but a yummy staple in our family gatherings.  I’m just happy that I can honor our little pixie and bring the sweet taters!!!

Happy Thanksgiving to all who read this!  If you have read this, drop a comment with your favorite family Thanksgiving foods.
